For standard EV charger installations — adding a new circuit to your home — no Alectra involvement is required beyond the ESA permit process. If your home needs a service upgrade (upgrading from 100A to 200A incoming service), we coordinate with Alectra to schedule the meter pull and reconnect on the same day as our panel installation, minimizing the time your home is without power.

Alectra's time-of-use (TOU) pricing means Mississauga EV owners can save significantly by charging overnight (off-peak hours after 7 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends). We configure your charger to automatically start at off-peak hours during commissioning.

Condo EV Charger Installation in Mississauga

Mississauga has a large and growing condo market, particularly along the Hurontario LRT corridor and in the City Centre area. Condo EV charging is a challenge that most electricians don't have the expertise to navigate — but we do.

A standard condo EV installation uses a DCC (Distributed Consumer Connection) approach: rather than drawing power from the building's shared electrical system (which raises cost-sharing concerns), a dedicated sub-meter is installed at your parking spot, billed directly to your unit. This means you pay only for the electricity you use to charge your vehicle — fairly, transparently, and without impacting other residents.

The DCC approach requires working with the condo corporation and property management, submitting proper documentation, and coordinating the electrical installation within the parking structure. We handle all of this. If your building already has a condo EV policy, great — we work within it. If not, we can help you understand what's needed to get one approved.

Panel Upgrades in Mississauga
